Boo Bear

I am loving these bears! They are so much fun to dress up with all the glitter & glitz.  This is my little Boo Bear - she's decked out in some glitter and the latest in "yum-yum" wear.  It's perfect to send to your little boo-bear -

This is a great gift for teachers or just a little treat to tuck in the lunch box.  Uses 1 package of gum such as Stride.  The pattern is made from the actual Stride box - I just pulled it apart and then cut/scored my piece of card stock to match.

Supplies: Dusty Durango Cardstock; Kraft Cardstock; Whisper White Cardstock; Raspberry Tart DSP; Basic Brown Classic ink; Basic Black Classic Ink; Snail Adhesive; Crushed Curry Dotted Ribbon; Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp-a-Stack Date Change

The Christmas Stamp-a-Stack originally scheduled for tomorrow evening is moving to next Tuesday, the 22nd@ 5:45.  We have folks that had schedule conflicts so in order for everyone to get to participate, it just made more sense to go ahead and move it.  Let me know if you are still planning to attend.  Watch the site for samples coming this week.

Quick Post Tonight

The class schedule is available over on the left hand side.  For those that I talked too about the Christmas Card class this week - it's really next Tuesday.  I apologize for the confusion - these three days weekends have me totally screwed up.  I've also listed the new Holiday Mini as well.  If you'd like a "real" copy - give me a holler and I'll get one too you.

The Forget Me Not gals are going to make another run - first class is the 13th.  Now's a great time to join.  The only requirement is to commit to spending atleast $25.00 a month and provide a snack for your hostess month. Email me if your interested and I'll give the details.

Let’s get messy

One of our club projects on Sunday was to create a card using the baby wipe method.

Supplies: Medallion Stamp (115223 $17.95); Glossy White Card Stock; Melon Mambo Card Stock; Bermuda Bay Card Stock; Melon Mambo Re-Ink; Bermada Bay Re-inker; Organdy Ribbon; Rhinestone Brad

This is a pretty cool technique. You will need a paper plate and two baby wipes (the cheap one's from the dollar store will work). This technique works best with the glossy card stock but you can use the regular Whisper White for a totally different look.

• Place the diaper wipes on the paper plate
• Drop re-inker drops in 2 to 3 colors in a random pattern. Ink will spread. Make sure that the area is big enough to fit the stamp you will be using
• Place the stamp on baby wipes and press. Remember to only press the stamp in one direction. If you keep turning it around, you will muddy the colors
• Press the stamp on the glossy card stock
• Set aside – it will take a few minutes to dry

We also distressed ribbon using our heat guns. This is great technique to use on your heritage layouts. Simply lay your organdy ribbon down on a heat proof surface – I use a ceramic tile. Then use something to hold the end and start heating it. Remember to keep the heat gun moving – it will melt thru the ribbon. Be sure to let it cool for a couple of seconds before you touch – it will be hot.
